20% of the profits from the evening’s sales will benefit Charlie’s Gift Autism Centers. SO co-owners Jessica Ledehausen and Asa Anden came up with the idea because they want to “give back” to local organizations. They became aware of Charlie’s Gift because their sons, both Hinsdale High School students, helped plan the first annual “Walk the Walk for Autism” 5k which took place in April 2008.
Charlie’s Gift is a very distinctive autism program and resource center. Charlie’s Gift Autism Centers, located in Hinsdale and Downers Grove, provide resources and programs to those living with autism, and advocacy and education to the surrounding community, allowing for continuity of care a and a true, multi-disciplinary team approach. It is dedicated to supporting the immediate and long term needs of children and families for the unique and complex needs of this ever-growing population.
